Neponset Soldier Named First Lieut.Mrs. Mai the Kalne, Neponset, liasreceived word of the promotion of her son. Jean, to the rank of first lieutenant with the 20th army air force in Guam on Nov. 13. Lt. Kaine, a navigator on a 15-29 Fortress, enlisted in the air corps in August,3 043, and was called for service Oct. 11* (it the same year. He trained at various schools in Missouri. Kansas and Texas before being sent to San Marcos. Texas, in the fall of 11*44 to complete his course as a navigator. After receiving his wings and commission as a second lieutenant on Jan. 13. 1945. he was stationed at Lincoln. Nebraska, and Clovis. N. Mexico, until leaving fori A Overseas duty in July, 1945. (;,
