25 Years agoJan. 10, 1982• Marine Pvt. Howard J. Foster has completed the infantry combat training course at the Infantry Training School at Camp Pendleton, Calif. Howard, son of Mrs. Muriel H. Foster of Roswell, is a 1981 graduate of Goddard High School. He joined the Marine Corps in June 1981.• Frank C. Tracy was awarded a plaque and congratulations from Mike Grieve, president of Pecos Valley Sertoma Club for being named recipient of the 1982 Service to Mankind Award. Frank received the award for his work with the elderly, youth, the Roswell Humane Society and for other actions described as “beyond and above the callof duty.
