Bostwick, former captain stationed at Fifteenth Air Force Headquarters at Colorado Springs.At noon on that date the President of the United States proclaimed a cessation of hostilities which had kept this country involved in a state of war since December 7, 1941.At the exact time the proclamation took effect, Captain Bost-wick was . taking—an • oath of allegiance in ire-enlisting in the Regular Army Air Corps as a Master Sergeant. Singularly, he was the last man to be enlisted at the base recruiting office at Fifteenth Air Force Headquarters for the year of 1946.Sergeant Bostwick has been a member of the armed forces for the past 11 years, coming to Colorado Springs with the Instructor’s Indoctrination Unit in April of 1945 from Galveston, Texas, whenthis installation ■ Was still under* • 4the command of thesjSecond Air Force. He is well known around Colorado Springs, having been assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division of the Army, and was instrumental in the recovery i of a large amount of government ■ property and equipment and eventual conviction of several of the people responsible for the misappropriation of this property at Peterson Field. ’Sgt. Bostwick is the son of Mrs. Frances C. Bostwick of Winslow, Arizona. His wife, the former Thalia Hosier, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eli L. Hosier of Winslow, Arizona.Sgt.
