Elizabeth Ann Cook Enlists in WacElizabeth Ann Cook of 633 West Benton, Pocatello, has enlisted in the women’s army corps. Private Cook, after her basic training, willserve with the medical departmentas a laboratory technician.Private Cook la the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Chauncy Cook. Her father is second mate with the U.S. army transport corps serving overseas. Sht has been making her home with her mother. ; ^sPrivate Cook was bom in Mead-vllle. Pa. She graduated from Pocatello high school in 1940. In 1944 she received her B.S. degree in pharmacy from Idaho South*em university. Since that time.she has been a pharmacist with Halliwell drug of Pocatello. She is a member of the Eastern Star, Lambda Kappa Sigma, and the National Honor society. She is also a licensed student pilot.Her brother, Howard William Cook, Is a staff sergeant with the infantry overseas. Another brother, Pvt. Robert Lawrence Cook, air corps, was killed In service.Private Cook will leave for her six weeks' basic training at Tort Des Moines, Iowa, after which time she will be assigned to an army hospital for duty.
