Perry, whose wife and 6-months-old daughter. Pamela Ruth, live at 1250 Chestnut St.. was recently promoted to corporal wile serving with the IX Corps in Korea.The corps, one of three in Korea, coordinates the intensive posttruce training and reconditioning of UN units under its control. /CpI. Perry, son of Chester A. Perry of Pecos, entered the Army in December. 1952. and holds the UN and Korean Service Ribbons. He is a graduate of Abilene High School and Tarleton State College.SERVICEMENPFC. RAYMOND TARR. serving in Korea• •Raymond Doyle Tarr, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Tarr, 517 Chestnut, has been promoted toRites at O'Donnellprivate first class while serving in Korea, according to word received by his mother.Pfc. Tarr has been stationed in Korea for four months and has been in the Army for 14 months. Prior to entering service Pfc. Tarr worked for a frozen food company in Abilene. He is a graduate of Abilene High School.
