Henry Merihugh says that he, Andrew Sproull, Orlando Bennett and Amos Merihugh were the only Democratic voters in Company E. 14th O. V. I. when they voted in the army in 18G2; and again says in 1860 he sent a straight Democratic ticket home for his father to vote for him. If our memory serves us welt there was no soldiers in the field in I860, and no vote was taken in the army earlier than October 1863.
