Eleven Enlist InLocal Guard Unit♦Capt. Maurice A. Livingston, commander of Company E, 130th Infantry, of the National Guard unit, announced today the names of le-cetit enlistments in the unit, y .Privates Eugene Miller, Bghble Balch. James Peterson, George Weemer, Larry Price, John Abbottand Leroy Krexner are all students at Mattoon High School,Privates Robert Young and Dale Kingery are students at Charleston High School. Donald Wright is an employe of the Hilltop truck stop. Also re-enlisting is M. Sgt. Roy Neff who is employed at Gar Wood Industries, Inc. He served in World War II from March. 1943 to December, 1945, -and. enlisted Jn , Company E, Dec. 9, 1947. in February, 1962, he went on active duty with the 44th division and was discharged upon completion of his enlistmentperiod, Dec. 8, 1953. He has a totalof more than nine years service.Capt. Livingston states that the enlistees who are under 18 H years of age will be deferred from the draft as long as-’they maintain satisfactory drill attendance.These enlistments bring the company strength to three officers, one warrant officer and ' 60 enlisted men. A goal of 80 by the time of the summer field training period, at Camp Ripley, Minn., has been set for the unit. ♦
