World -war. was taken to Mendota for treatment by Sheriff George Gar* MU last night The ex-soldier was. committed to the county jail when he wu picked op a short time before CJtrtatmag at the Commercial Hotel. Since that time he has been under ex-UUnatloir by Dr. J. Y. R. Dyman whopronouhced him insane as the resultof shell shock. Hp had an honorable : discharge in his possession when I picked up. The discharge exhibits j splendid record made by the soldier In France during the war. His homela in the emit hern mrt of the state.
