Donald Ehrhart,NFG retiresDonald C. Ehrhart, 71, of Venus HD 1, a retired gas company employee, died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the CHI City Hospitalwhere he had been admittedearlier in the day.He was born in Venus July 31, 1912, a son of Clifton S. and Anna J. Beck Ehrhart, and was a lifelong resident of the Venus area.Mr. Ehrhart, a Pinegrove Township supervisor for 12 years, worked for National Fuel Gas for 32 years until his retirement in 1970.He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Venus.Mr. Ehrhart was married in 1932 to the former Minnie S. Dehner who preceded him in death Nov. 16, 1962. He was married in 1963 to Dorothy Stover who survives.Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edward E. (Della) Rodgers Jr. of Seneca and Mrs. Richard (Ruth) Kapp of Venus; one son, Clifford L. “Boot” Ehrhart of Venus; a stepson, Robert L. Stover of Oil City RD 2; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lewis S. Ehrhart and James C. Ehrhart, both of Venus; and two sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Ruth) Slye of President Township and Mrs. Javon (Grace) Rowlette of Simi Valley, Calif.Mr. Ehrhart was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Nellie Salsgiver.Friends are being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Faller Funeral Home,Fry burg.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Faith Lutheran Church, Venus, or the American Heart Association.
