Lt. John R. NoblasPrisoner of WarLieut. John Rov Noles is a prisoner of war on the Philippines, his mother, Mrs. E. L. Winn of Huck-aby, has been notified.Lieutenant Noles whs reared at Wellington and received his education at John Tarleton Agricultural College and Texas A M. After graduating from the School of Engineering at A. A M., he was connected with the Texas St,ate Highway Department until called to service.A member of the 7th Material Squadron. Army Aur Corps. Lt. Noles was stationed at Clark Field near Manila at the outbreak of the war He was wounded on the morning of Dec. 7 on the initial attack of the Japanese. According to previous messages to Mrs. Winn from the war department, he returned to active duty on Bataan on March 11, 1942. later being evacuated to CorregidorLt. Noles was a cadet at Texas A A A1. when General Moore, commander of Corregidor. was commandant of that institution. i—v —
