Ten Draftees Left February 25th for TrainingTen Montague County boys left Nocona by bus, Tuesday, February 25th. for Dallas where they will be entrained for army training camps for a year’s military service. Theseboys filled the county’s second quotafor the month of February.Those included in this call were: Woodrow Wilson Morgan, registering in Castro County from Nocona:Willard Morrow Belew. registering in Farmersville; Wade Hampton Allison Jr., route 1, Nocona; Grady j Mack Holt. Bonita; James Reubc-n Capps, route 1, Bowie; David Carlton Mcrrison, route 1, Saint Jo; | Lynn James Maddox, route 1, For-estburg; Lee Onnal Uselton. route 3, Nocona; Otis Oliver Carey, Nocona;Stevens McGrady Winton, Sunset.The three boys leaving February 19th to take the place of the three turned down in Dallas on the first call for February' were: Gladewell Laseman. Saint Jo; L. B. Dillard, Nocona. and J. C. Dilbeck. Nocona.The next call for draftees will be March 10th. and Montague County’s quota in this call will be ten.Out of 2.430 registering in county, 800 men have received their classifications. and to date about 400 classifications have been used in the draftee calls.Men under twenty-one years of age may volunteer for army service with the consent of their parents, according to information received from the County draft board office.oWinners Announced In Checkers TourneyWinners have been announced in the checkers tourney which were held last Friday. In the group over twenty-one years of age. A. O. Richardson defeated R. A. Brooks: age from It? to 21 years, Barker Pollard forfeited to Otis Breeze; ages 12 to 16 years, Paul Shelton defeated Truitt Howard.Approximately forty boys and men took part in the tournament. Prizes were awarded winners.Entrants are registering at the down-town iccreational center this week who wish to take part in the ping-pong tourney to be played Match 12th.-o--
