Sp.4 Wayne F. Moon Recipient of Army Commendation MedalSpecialist Four Wayne F. Moon, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee C. Moon, of Westfield, recently received the Army Commendation Medal while serving with the 179th Aviation Company in Vietnam.'Hie medal was awarded for meritorious service. Such service can be over an extended period of time or for outstanding achievement in a single situation. In either case, the recipient must have demonstrated skills and dedication far above the average.Spec. Moon received the award while assigned as a cook in the company.He entered the Army in August 1969 and was last stationed at Ft. Dix. N.J.He was employed by the Electric Cord Manufacturing Company. Westfield. Pa., before entering the Army.His wife, Sally, lives at Whitesville, N Y
