Funeral Sunday For War VictimFuneral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Coal City Community Church by Rev. James Waldron Jr. of Chicago, 111. for Pfc. Jerry Ray Miller, 19, of Coal City.Miller died Feb. 18 in Vietnam following injuries suffered in the war. He was born May15, 1947 in Beckley.Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Adkins; his father, Mack Ray Miller; one sister, Beverly Ann and one brother David Lee, all of Chicago; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Bessie Plata of Beckley; maternal grandfather, Joseph Hernandez of Beckley; and the paternal grandmother, Mrs. Or-pha Masste of Coal City. Another sister, Linda Sue, preceded himin death in Jan. 19G6.The body will arrive from Vietnam Saturday morning and will be at the Melton Mortuary where friends may call after 11 a.m. Saturday.The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to services and burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
