However, as fa many eases, the conditions of warfare deny us such information. The record concerning yoor son shows that he took part in a bombing mission over Campoleonc. which is approximately 10 miles north of An aio. Italy, and that while over the target area, his plane was hit by enemy .Are and Immediately went down.“Full consideration has recently been given to all available information , bearing on the absence of your son. including all records, reports and circumstances. These have been carefully reviewed and considered. In view or the fact that twelve monthi have now expired without the receipt .of evidence to support a continued presumption of survival, the War Department mast terminate such abs uce by a presumptive finding of death.
