THE CADET EXAMINATION.Thirteen Young South Dakotans Enter the Competitive Examination Held Here.There were thirteen young men present at the competitive examination in this city on Tuesday, for appointment as cadet to West Point military academy. They were Kenneth A. Osborn, of Howard; John I). Evans, of Gettysburg; Romanzo G. Maraland, of Madison; Willaid E. Ladd, of Sturgis; Ben Tom Harrison, of Sioux Falls; Otto Ei-lerman of Yankton; Donald E. McPherson, of Deadwood; James B. Shouse, of Plankinton; Thomas P. Fleminsr, Sanford A. Lyon, Wilbur Atherton, Frank L. Horton, and Edward O. Lyman, of Huron.The examination was by the facultyof Huron College and was very rigid and thorough. Dr. T. J. Wood madethe physical examination. The successful competitor must appear at Ft.Snelling, Miun., March 1, for linal examination.
