Tribute for Laddusire.“I met ’Bull' Laddusire’s old outfit in Bastogne. Cpl. Tom Hildebrand. son of Mrs. Dorothy Hildebrand. writes from France. “They all thoupht the best of him.”Cpl. Hildebrand's reference was to Sgt. Merwin Laddusire. former star football player for Rhinelander High School, who was killed in action in France on Aug. 1, 1944.“That Bastogne deal didn't leave me much time for anything,” Cpl. Hildebrand writes. ‘‘When you see someone wearing the eagle of the 101st. you’ll know he's in my division.”Cpl. Hildebrand is a parachutist.
