25th Div., Korea—John E. Logsdon, 22, whose wife, Gerry, lives at 1404VI- N. Main St., Jasper, was recently promoted to sergeant while serving with the 25th Infantry Division in Korea.Rushed to Korea during the early days of the conflict, the “Tropic Lightning” division took part in some of the most bitter fighting on the peninsula. It is now undergoing intensive post-truce training.Sergeant Logsdon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arlie Logsdon, 706 Eighth st., Huntingburg, is a gunner in the division’s 14th Regiment. He has been in Korea since last May.A former employe of the Jasper Corporation, the sergeant enteredthe Army in June, 1952, and served at Port Lewis, Wash., before his I overseas assignment.-
