Mr.-Johnston was Captured at Gettysburg, Pa*, from whence he was carried to Fort McHenry, where be was Ootiflued until the night of the 22d of Decern-ber/when he escaped, in company with four etb*w# including Oopt. Bowie, (a relative of the original James Bowie, of bowie-knife ais-HaCttoh,) Capt. Bowie and Mr. Johnston ewarn the Potomac we need not say where,*ud are both sale in Dixie. Mr. J. Is look, tag well, although the treatment of ear on. fortunate prisoners at Fort McHenry is said to be horrible. Mr. J. says the faro is vary had'and vary slender \ -indeed he thinks there are stronger Indications of starvation there tbaa he has found within our lines since bis return South, lie Is a gallant Misaissipplan, and la on his way to his company, which forms a part oi Longatreet*s command. Escapes of Confederates from this Yankee prie-fnfbras' us, are quite numerous, although the Yankees are very vigilant.
