Missing OverseasT-SGT. MARTIN W, SMITH .Missing in action somewhere *n : Belgium after a year's service overseas with the 330th infantry . unit i» T-Sgt. Martin W. Smith. He ; was reported missing Jan. 9, according to a War department telegram received by his mother, Mrs. Julia Smith of Quapaw,During-his time overseas he was wounded twice, once in France on July 15, 1044, and more recently in Germany. For the July injury he was .awarded The Purple Heart.The last letter received from the eergeant by his family was written on Dec. 27 and arrived after the telegram stating be was missing.Besides his mother, other relatives are two sisters, Mrs, West ley White and Mrs, Maudina Carr, anda half-brother, Harold Rogers, all of Quapaw,
