j Willis E Means, son of Mr. and ; Mrs Rhesa Earnest Means of ftcw ; Woodstock, was a member of the 11th class of aviation cadets to graduate from the new Columbus army I flying school near Columbus, Miss., Feb. 16. He received the silver wings of a flylhg officer and commission as I a second lieutenant in the army air j forces. Lt. Means entered pilot I training last May 18, and attended flying schools at Bennettsville, S. C. and Bambridge, Ga. before his graduation at the advanced flying school near Columbus. Before he enlisted for pilot training he had attended the Cortland State Teachers College. Lt. Means was a member of the j class of 1937 of the New Woodstock I High School. ,
