—....... U--SON OF GALVAN HOLDS HIGH POSITIONWord has been received by Galva relatives of the promotion of John O. Emery, of Washington, D. C., grandson of the late Mrs. Ruth Emery, of this city. Mr. Emery has been made a lieutenant commander in the navy, and has charge of the routing of transportation of all the world, whether by air, water or land. He is the son of the late George F. Emery, of Kansas City,Also of interest comes the information that his son, John Jr., a sophomore at Dartmouth college, has signed up for naval aviation cadet and expects to start his training soon.
