This speaks well for your leadership and for the splendid eo-I| operation you have had from all the people of Star Valley.Having spent most of my life in the Star Valley, 1 am naturally proud of their accomplishment. Please express to your community chairmen and all of your co-workers and to the people of Star Valley in general, our sincere thanks and appreciation for their fine support. This is an outstanding demonstration of their patriotism and their willingness to back their boys fighting in this great war to preserve freedom and liberty throughout the world.IYou will be pleased to know that North Lincoln County now stands at the head of the list in percentage of quota for the 4th War Loan, and I think you have an excellent opportunity to win the Governor’s plaque for this accomplishment. C.Dear Mr. Coyne:-Reference is made to my letter of September 25, 1943 wherein I advised you that North Lincoln County would undertake to sell war bonds totaling $175,000 between September 1, 1943 and February 28, 1944 or the purchase of a Medium Bomber to be named STAR VALLEY QUEEN.I am now advised by Mr. G. A. Newswander, county chairman, that the bomber campaign was successfully completed January 25 1944, more than a month before the date specified. This is quite an outstanding accomplishment for the people of North Lincoln County, and much credit is due Mr. Wardell Clinger, wrho was chairman of the bomber campaign. It will be appreciated if you will arrange to have a bomber given the name “Star Valley Queen” and furnish us with photographs for publicity purposes at the earliest possible moment.Yours very sincerely,A.
