Game Commission Can Now Condemn LandTopeka, Feb. 17 (AP)—Governor Schoeppel signed today a hotly-contested act giving the state fish ar\d game commission power to condemn land for recreational areas.Sponsors explained it is designed to permit completion of a wild life preserve in Cheyenne bottoms near Great Bend. The state already owns about 6,000 acres there.Once during its rocky progress through the legislature, the bill was killed by the House but was later revived.
