March 6th# 1917rSaid petition is here set forth by copy and the same reads as follows, to-wit: State of Indiana,White County, ss;Before the Board of Commissioners ofWhite County, Indiana.In the matter of the petition of WilliamGross and others for the improvementof a public highway in Honey-CreekTownship, White County, Indiana.To the Honorable Board of Commissionersof White County, Indiana.The undersigned, who are more than fifty qualified voters and frec-holdcrs of Honey Creek Township, White County, Indiana, respectfully petition your Honorable Board that a highway in paid township already established and hereinafter described, shall be graded, drained and paved with crushed stone, and that said improvement shall he made and ordered constructed without submitting the question of building the same to the election of the voters of said township.The beginning, course and termination of said highway sought to he graded, drained and paved, together with a general description thereof, is as follows, to-wit: Commencing at the intersection ofan north and soulli public highway with an east and west public highway at the southwest corner of the southeast quarter (Vi) of the southeast quarter (Vi) Section six (f»). Township twenty-seven (27) north, Range four (4) west, in Honey Creek Township, White County, Indiana, at the point wheije the stone public highway, which runs East and West between Sections five (5) and eight (S), all in Township twenty-seven (27) north, Range four (I) west, in said Township, ends and terminates; thence south over an established public highway a distance of about one mile to the northwest corner of the northeast quarter (J/t) of the northeast quarter (Vi) of Section eighteen (IS), Township twenty-seven (27) north, Range four (!) west, in said Township; thence east over an established public highway a distance of about one-fourth of a mile to tlie northeast corner of tlie northeast quarter (Vi) of said Section eighteen (IS); thence south over an established public highway, § which runs north and south between Sections eighteen (18) and seventeen (17), all in Township twenty-seven (27) north, Range four (1) west, in said Township, a distance of about one mile to the northwest corner of the northwest quarter (Vi) °* Section twenty (20), Township twenty-seven (27) north. Range four (4) west, in said Township, where the improvement of the public highway herein petitioned for will connect with the public stone highway, which runs north and south between Sections nineteen (19) and twenty (20), all in Township twenty-seven (27) north. Range four (4) west, in said Honey Creek Township, that said improvement of the public highway herein petitioned for ends and terminates at said point of connection with said north and south public stone highway.The intent and purpose of this petition is that said improvement shall he made of the existing highway as now located between said terminal points.Your petitioners recommend that said highway shall be paved with crushed stone to a width of twelve feet, twelve inches deep in the center and sloping to a depth of nine inches at each side, and the character of said improvement when completed shall he a well graded, drained highway, paved with crushed stone as aforesaid.
