)•and will spend some time visiting with Mrs. Helen Roesch and his mother, Mrs. Anna La Gross and other relatives.Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schmidt and Edwin were supper guests on Friday at the home of Mr. and Mrs.Johnny Schmidt.A party was given at the Downer hall on Saturday evening in honor of Corporal Glenn Barry r.:id Apprentice Seaman Norman Lien who are spending furloughs at their respective homes. Corporal Barry has been in the armed forces fouryears, three of which have been spent overseas. Lien has completed his boot training at Farragut, Ida.Mr. and Mrs. George Halverson accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Labert Krauth to Dumont and spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Des Tardines. The Krauths also visited the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Krauth and other relatives.
