That really was a surprise cvhen^ I heard about the broadcast From John. I am working frpfi 3:30 to 12110 and have no chance to listen 10 the radio at night, but a Mr. Wes* ton from the personnel office atDelco heard it and called up Satur-iay morning and told me about it, So.far I received over 70 letters and post cards from peoglo all over the LJ. S. vvriQng me that they heard -he broadcast. It is really wonderful .o know that people take so much..interest in otir boys overseas,~T will send you a' copy of the February Delco paper-as soon as I re** reive it as there will be a nice item, ibout the broadcast in it.Mrs. Holzermer is in Seymour* Indiana with our daughter to take care xf Myrna Ellen, our new granddaughter. Elsie and therbaby are dong fine. The baby was horn January LOth. I am sending letters to John--ight along, but it takes about threemonths before he gets^a-letteiv Ue* is in a temporary camp yet -according to the broadcast and I have to send the mail through -fche Red Cross* Geneva, Switzerland.John was awarded the” Air Medal and the European Theatre ribbon oefore he was taken prisoner of war.I received a telegram from the GVar Department notifying me about the broadcast too. The telegramreads as follows:Following enemy propaganda broadcast - from Germany has been intercepted. Quote—Bear mother, I un in good health and feel fine.
