ACCEPTED IN U.S. ARMYSixteen Mt. Vernon and Jefferson county youths who left in a local draft group Wednesday,Feb. 7, have been inducted into the U.S. Army. Included in the group were, first row, left to rightEllsworth Topovteh, Jerry Brown, Louis Graham and Clifford L. Dixon.Second row, left to right—William E. Alvis, Fred E. Simmons, Jack McCoy, Harry Fred Denham. Graham and Alvis volunteered for immediate induction.
