Newaygo Portland clement Company, to be used in transportation of cement products. Contract for the new steamer has been awarded to the Manitowoc SUijs building Company, this city.This was revealed today with announcement of the Newaygo Company of a $100,000 bond issue placed on the market and which has been purchased by the East WisconsinTrustee company -of-this riry -mdthe uld National Bank of Grand Rapids, Mich., home city of the Newaygo company. The two concerns each purchased one-half of the issue and the bonds are now being offered the public.To Build BoatIn its announcement of the bond issue the company says the issue is made-under a collateral trust indenture including a pledge of a preferred vessel mortgage encumbering the cement carrying vessel The Daniel McCool, now under construction by tho Manitowoc Shipbuilding Corporation.No demils of construction of the new vessel havo been made public here. The boat, it Is probable, will operate extensively from the plant of the Manitowoc Portland Cement Company on the lakes.
