Raymond 0. James III, son of Fern L. James of 9306 Baker Street, Manassas, Va., has been promoted in the U.S. Air Force to the rank of master sergeant. James is a personnel technician at Dover Air Force Base, Del., with the 436th Air Base Group. His wife, Linda, is the daughter of Thomas H. and Betty L. Brown of Rural Route 1, Old-town. The sergeant is a 1968 graduate of Stonewall Jackson Senior High School, Manassas.
