Stm-lin stating that the offer of British Co-Columbia had not been accepted; but that information would be forwarded as soon as a detinite reply was received from Ottawa.On Monday two of our citizens left Nelson to join the Strathcona Horse, One of these was A. .1. M. Shaw, nephewof 0. .K Shaw. They were seen off by• •a number of friends, who wished them godspeed on their journey. This makes the third from Greenwood to join Mr. Harris, having enlisted in Winnipeg.The same day B. S. Moulton-Barrett received a telegraphic message fromanother Greenwood man. .1. Kdwards-Leckie from Sudburv stated that forty exceptional horsemen were rt*quitvd for the Strathcona Horse. Mr. I.eckie, while east, obtained a commission, lb; is a recruiting ollicer, ami one wellqual-ilied for the service, being a good horseman and a tirst. class shut.
