Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kilroy of( Fox River Grove were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Mary McCormick and Jimmy.The February issue of the Ford Times contains an interesting article entitled How to Have a Good Time in Good Springs, Alabama, written by John McCormick, sonj of Mrs. Isabel McCormick. Thej contributor’s page contains a short I write-up about John. “An ex-1 Yankee from Tampico, Illinois, John McCormick has been officially commended by the Alabama State Legislature for the frequent appearance in national publications of his writings on Alabama-his adopted home state. Proud of his service with the Marines on the Pacific Islands during World War II, he is now assistant Professor of English and Speech at the University of Alabama’s Huntsville Center where he is working towards his Ph.D.” His wife is the former Mary Jane McCue, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George McCue of Sterling.
