He was shot down by the Japs while on a flying mission on •Dec. 16 and was operating in the Sidney islands. Lt. Eugene Overton, of Bangor, was still in doubt, today. He was aboard the carrier Liscombe Bay, which was torp'doed by the Japs Nov. 28.
