Honored at Dinner'*THE PLAINS — Four dinnorparties were given honoring Cpl. Sam W. Pidcock, Army Air Force, of Fort DeRitter, l,a., who was home on a 14-day furlough visiting his wife, Mrs. ary Pidlt; lt;k. of The Plains, O.One dinner was given by Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Rhodes, 9 Hanl;n Ave, Athens, one by Mr. and Mrs. James E, Rear of Columbus, another by Mr. and Mrs. Carroll F. Bean, The Plains, and the fourth by Cpl. Pideocks parents, Mr. andMrs. Wallace Pidcock of Barberton. Many gifts were received by thesoldier as well as $50 in cash.Cpl. Pidcock has returned to Ft. DeRitter for his overseas training program.
