The Academv authorities will shortly ask for bids for the demolition of the structure.The building was erected by the Federal Government shortly after the Civil War, and was intended for use as a hospital in* connection with the Naval Academy. Its cost was more than $200,000. A few years after its erection it was condemned by the Government and it has since been of little use except for storage purposes.
