Every soldier in the army who shall furnish a good pack mule and a serviceable pack saddle complete, will be paid for the latter at a fair rate, which will be established by the Quarter Master General, Maj. B. Bloomfield, and shall be silo wed forty cente per day for every good tor-viceable mule.There will be allowed to companies at the rate *f one pack mule to every ten men. Soldiers will sot, however, ba allowed to go home for the purpose of procuring these mules or making tbs aaddJ•», but their friends, by famishing the mute and pack saddle to the nearest Qurtsr Master, and getting a receipt tnereior and forwarding It to Maj. Bloomfield, will oontribute to the eorafort and efficiency of the soldier, who wlU be paid the 40 cents per day and the value of the pack saddle thus furnished.
