McWhorter will continue to teach in the Brownficld Public Schools. He and his wife, Millie, who is a Brownficld Intermediate School library aide, have two children: Donna Moore and Michael McWhorter.Donna and her husband, Russ, have one son, Eric, who is in the second grade. They live in Oceanside, Calif.Michael is a disc jockey at K-SEL Radio in Portales, N.M., and a student at Eastern New Mexico University.At Col. McWhorter’s retirement parly, after singing The Star Spangled Banner, Michael and Edic Hamilton announced their engagement and plans to marry on Ma12, 1990.
