Dr. Kitaon retired from practice in IMS.He waa bom in Audubon county Oct. 7. 1660, the ton of Arthur and Julia Kitaon and grew to manhood there. He attended Deniaon Normal college and graduated from the University of Iowa, ierv-ing his internship in Baptist Memo- rial hospital in Memphis. Tenn.. and Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines. He was house physi- ' cian at Des Moines city hospital: for some time and practiced at r Lebanon, Ind., and Avoca prior lt;to coming to Atlantic in 1629. He, was married to Irene L. Van Ness Dec. 31, 1921, at Fayette. iDr. Kitson was a World war 1 , veteran, a member of the Cass i county and Iowa medical societies { and the American Medical associa- j lion and was oq the staff of the Atlantic Memorial hospital. He lt;was a member of the Atlantic ] Methodist church, serving on the ] board of trustees and official • board and as an honorary board , member. ,Surviving are his wife, two chil-ren, Raymond Kitson of Janesville, lt;Wit., and Mrs. D. M. Barnard of ' Fargo, N. D ; two brothers, Rev. Harry Kitson of Sumner and his twin, H. W. Kitson of Audubon; a sister, Mrs. P. G. Naumann of Minneapolis and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna KiUon and Mrs. Ethel Clevenger.Funeral services will be held I Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at the I Roland funeral home, the Rev.Leonard Tinker officiating and in-■ terment will be in the Atlantic •1 cemetery. His family is interested L in the carillon fund of the Meth-t odist church and the Atlantic Memorial hospital fund.
