Kingsley of this lo,wn, 'vlib was listed in this week’s casualty list aseasily ylaini^o be among the severely wounded, for altogether, ho hatl -42 wounds. He was injured by, a high explosive shell Sept. 26. He was sent to a hospital in Prance -and later ^vas shipped back to this country, arriving just Befote Thanksgiving at Hampton, Va. From there he was sent to the hospital’at Ft. McHenry, Md.Despite his wounds Corp. Kingsley was .able to .tako advantage of a 48 hours’ furlough and visit his parents, Mr. .and Mrs.. Frank Kingsley of 339 Federal street last Sunday. He arrived that morning and. had to leave that night. ^ •He was! a member, of the 103d .Trench Mortar Battery of the 28th division. Before entering the service he was employed as an -electrician by the Greenfield Electric Light Power company. His mother says his body bears the scars of 42 wounds. One piece of shell went through, his right hand, his right arm and his back are scarred from wrounds inflicted sby shell fragments.
