MRS. FRANK BELCHER'S NEPHEW WITH BYRD EXP.Mrs. Frank Belcher reports she had a nephew, Harold J. Kretzer, to leave the West Coast Dec. 2, with Byrd’s expedition to the Antarctic as electrician on the Destroyer, Henderson. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John G. Kretzer, who litas just east of “Fairy Deft” on Route 51, south of Patoka.Harold has over three years service in the Pacific, first assigned to the “Colorado and was wounded when it was bomibed and was awarded the Purple Heart. His parents regard it very highly and will show it only by request of close friends and relatives.
