R C WANTS GIFTSWill Make Up a Big Christmas Box To Send To Soldiers at West Baden HospitalSENT KNITTED 0U1LT SOME DAYS AGOThe Junior Red Cross organizationof Gosport has been asked to makeup and send a Christmas box to the convascelescent soldiers who are at the big hospital at West Baden.Articles wished for the box are books, magazines, pencils and games. Citizens are asked to contribute these from their store or buy new ones and give. An old book or magazine coming to one who has not read it is just as valuable as a new one he has not read. Games, no matter how old, just so they are complete, will be very much appreciated.The boys at West Baden are those who saw service in the trenches of France. Some have left an arm or a leg on the battle field, many are suffering from slow-healing gas burns, from shell shock and from sickness contracted in the trenches. All are more than worthy anything that the stay-at-home citizen can do for them, for anything he can or will give to help them while away the tedious hours until shattered health is regained and they can again take their places in the industries of the country and take care of themselves. Remember that these men have gone through untold hardship, offered their all, their lives, for the welfare of their nation and humanity, for the people back home in comfort and security as well as the comrade in arms at their side, and the greatest that one can do for their welfare and pleasure will be but small in | comparison to the debt owed them.Miss Evelyn Soth, who has charge ot the local Junior Red Cross, asks that all who have any of the above named articles to contribute to send or bring them to her home or call and some member of the organization will be sent to get them. Please do this at once.The Juniors have been working on a knitted quilt for the soldiers, which was finished some days ago and sent to West Baden.
