4 Officers Die In Burning Of Barrack Bldg.PINE CAMP, N. Y.lt; D«'C. 10 - lt;.V' —Fire of undetermined origin raged through a two-storv wooden barrack building at this military reservationtoday, claiming the lives of four army officers assigned to “Exercise Snowdrop.The early morning tragedy, which also resulted In Injuries to five other officers and an enlisted man, was being investigated by a U. S. army board of inquiry. Eight officers escaped injury bv leaping from windows.Lt. Robert Banker, public relations oflicer for Exercise Snowdrop, identified (he dead as Lt. Robert Manly, Manhattan, Kas.; Lt. Wyjfcice Swilley, High Springs, Fla.: Lt. Rudolph J. Feres, Binghamton. N. Y . and Capt. Robert L. Dodge, Pctcrs-burg, Pa.The four-month winter airborne maneuvers begun here Nov. 1 Approximately 1,000 troops, including units of the 82nd airborne division, are participating in the training program.
