KILLED IN ACTION—I'aul Wes-termini, 20, son of Mrs. .1, \V. Jones, 2105 South I street, was killed in action in an undisclosed war zone, a message from the war department disclosed this week. Leon Karr, Bakersfield boy, was . with Westerman when he was killed in the performance of his duty. Seaman Westerman was with the marines in the battle area at the time of his death, having been transferred from the navy to the marine corps following his apprenticeship in pharmacy.News of his death was also contained in a letter from Robert Leon Barr to his parents, Mr. and Mrs. j J.
