A Texas AAM College graduate, Lt Colonel Sharp has done considerable traveling since leaving ROTC to receive an active duty commission of second lieutenant in June, 1949. He has served in Europe, Alaska, Japan, Okinawa, New York, Tennessee, and tor one year in 1961 served at Ft. Worth, Texas, which is fairly close to his home town, Waco. His wife is the former June Oliver, Lebonan, Tennessee, whose grandmother is Mrs. Fletcher Smotberman. Colonel Sharp is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer D. Sharp, 2600 AIM Vista Rd., Waco, Texas.
