First Army chaplain to receive the Silver Star in the Korean area is Capt. Cauthion T. Boyd Jr. of Detroit whose award is for gallantry under fire in Poh-nagDong, Korea.Rev. Boyd, who resides, at 4906 Wabash, is father of twochildren, Barbara Ann, 7. and Gerald. 6. His wife. Mary received notice of the award this week, almost three months after her husband was cited for rescuing wounded soldiers. He made four trips through enemy luvas and under fire. He was at the wheel of the rescue truck.
