I haven't got uny mail from you in the last three days. I got the one where you said that my arch supports were on the way to me. That is just what I wanted. You will have to got me some shoes, there are not nny low cuts on the island. So get this straight. X want apair of black 14 A (13*a will do) try to get a 14 if you can. these big field shcvs that 1 am wearing now arc killing me. I vent to church this morning, I had to walk, all of the jeeps were gone. Elsie is in Ky.. by now I guess. Did X get you right that you have palsey? That is serious isn't it? As you know the sixth War Bond drive is opening now, the other night at the show they gave away one thousand dollars in bonds. I got a chance, seventy-five cents, and won atwenty-five dollar bond, I had them to send it back to you two, I was really lucky. The funny part of it was, that one of my buddies got the same number one other time and got a bond too. We were both from the same hut, there were about two thousand then'.I went fishing yesterday, I went up in the jungles along the river, as I was crawling through the underbrush. I met up with a nativv. he had a big knife. I didn't know whether to run or fight, he came up and ennled and then saluted me, I returned his salute and tried to talk to him, but he couldn't understand me and couldn't talk, so we parted.
