Thanksgiving WeekendAccident Brings Fines For Area YouthStephen Carl Sommers, a 17 year old student, who ran into ■cars parked in front of the Staff Restaurant on Nov 25 causing about $2000 damage, was fined and given suspended sentences on varily of charges in City Court Wednesday.For driving while intoxicated he was fined $125 or 30 days in jail. Jail terms totalling 90 days were assessed for eausing an accident and driving without« license hut suspeneded on condition his mother is able to keep him out of further trouble.Sommers, driving a 1965 heavy car, hit a parked sports car knocking it from its highway parking place to the sidewalk. The sports car hit a car ahead thus causing heavy damage to both parked cars plus the one Sommers was driving.It was brought out in court that Sommers had forfeited a bond on August 19 on a charge of possession of alcohol by a(minor.William G. Hwcll, 28 of Eglin «AFB, who said he was leaving this week for Viet Nam was fined $30 on a speeding charge hut was freed on a no drivers license charge. It was found that he had a valid license but it was not on his person when arrested.John Florence. 19 of Harbeson J)r., was fined $25 for disturbing !the peace hv fighting on December 3.
