Navy Lt. (j.g.) Eldon R. Boose, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon E. Boose of 85 16th St., has received the Air Modal in ceremonies aboard the attack aircraft carrier U.S.S. Oriskany, operating in the South China Sea with units of the Seventh Fleet.lie was awarded the medal for meritorious achievement in aerial flight on combat air operations over North and South Viet Nam.Seaman Robert E. Cast, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. Gast of 709 16th St., has received the U.S. Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for his supporting role in combat operations off the coast of Viet Nam while serving aboard the attack aircraft carrier U.S.S. Midway, now operating out of Alameda, Calif.The 62.000-ton carrier recently returned to Alameda after almost nine months of operations in the South China Sea with the U.S. Seventh Fleet.Airman First Class James W. Medbourn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred S. Med bo urn of Rt. 4, Delphi. has been selected Outstanding Airman of the Month for the Air Force hospital at Mac-Dill AFB, Fla.Medbourn, a medical specialist, was honored for his exemplary conduct and performance.The airman is a graduate of Delphi High School. His wife, Carolyn, is the daughter of Mrs. Geraldine Stewart of South Sioux City, Neb.Maj. Charles R„ Wynn, whose! wife, Mary, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Martin, of; Rt. 3, Delphi, has received the Air Force Commendation Medal at Travis AFB, Calif., for meritorious service as chief of the scheduling section at Tachikawa Air Base, Japan.He is now assigned to Headquarters, Western Tran sport Air Force, at Travis AFB, as a staff operations officer.Army Specialist Four Robert' L. Walburn, 24, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith L. Walburn, 221 E. Fifth St., Rochester, has received the Good Conduct Medal while assigned to the 2nd Armored Division at Fort Hood, Tex.Walburn received the award for exemplary conduct, efficien-| cy and fide'.ity as a soldier in active military service.A clerk in Headquarters and| Service Battery of the division's 6th Battalion, 92d Artillery, he entered the Army in December, 1963, and completed basic train-ccords inS at Fort Knox’The 1959 Rochester High School •duty graduate attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo.
