Air Cadet In AlabamaJohn Roger Thoman. son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace C. Thoman, 583 Broadway, is now enrolled as an aviation cadet in the huge Army Air Forces Pre-Flight School ior PJote at Maxwell Field, located on the Outskirts of Montgomery, capital of Alabama. Here cadets will receive nine weeks of intensive military, physical and academic training preparatory to beginning their actual flight instruction at one of the many primary flying schools in the Southeast Army Air Forces Training Center. Cadet Thoman is a graduate of the Eichelberger Senior High school and had served ten months in the Army Air Forces at Savannah Army Air Base when appointed an aviation cadet in theArmy Air Forces. He received civilian pilot training in Pittsburgh and a solo license for seaplane. Cadet Thoman began his nine weeks pre-flight course at Maxwell Field the latter part of October .
