Veterans to remember Pearl Harbor casualtiesANDERSON — Veterans and others will pay homage Wednesday to the 2.403 people who were killed 53 years ago at Pearl Mar bor. Hawaii.The Pearl I larbor Day c eremony will begin at 11 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Park cemetery.Kenneth Brown, commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 266. will serve as master of ceremonies. State Rep. Rolland Web ber. D Anderson, will be the speaker.Representing the armed lorces for the placement of flags will be U.S. Air Force Stall Sgt. Rov Galbraith. U.S Army Sgt. Tony Gardner. U.S. Marine Corps Staff SgtTimothy D. Bigelow. Anthony Custer of the U.S. Navy and George R. Canaday of the U.S. Merchant Marines.The flnng squad for the salute will be from VFW Post 266Honor guards will be represen tat Ives from VFW' Auxiliary Posi 266, American Legion Post 127 and Vietnam Veterans Post 132.In addition to the other veterans organizations, the commemoration Is sponsored by AMVETS Post 692.Invocation will be given by Estel Ex*kart, state chaplain of the VFW.Giving the benediction will be Jim Stewart of Disabled Americ an Veterans Chapter 12.
