Local Young Men Enlist In Navy During NovemberTwo 1 ocal young men enlisted in the u. 3. navy during the month of November, CMOMM Ca»« Stein-wandt, who is in charge oJ the recruiting office in Valparaiso, an* non need today.They are Donald Cnsbon. son or Mr. and Mrs. Visile Casbon of 5-1 Xnslllule street, and Arthur C. Whltton, son of Mr. and Mrs John Wldtton of 503 Jefferson street. Each enlisted for three years and both are now undergoing recruit basic training at the U. S. naval .station at Great Lakes, 111.Chief Stelnwandl rcporied that recruit training covers a period of 14 weeks, during which lime the Individual is taught to acMpt himself to navy life.Upon completion or their basic training Casbon and Whitton will either be assigned to a trade school or directiy to a ship or naval base.
